Joyner Aguiar, Esq.
Ms. Aguiar has earned experience in the immigration field since her time as an undergraduate student of the University of Florida (cum laude, 2011), serving as an intern and later, as a legal assistant to various immigration firms. A graduate of the St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami (2015), she served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Judge Barbara Areces, conducting research and writing legal memoranda on various legal issues in family law, including divorce modifications, child custody and child support. During her final year of law school, she served as a Student Representative for the law school’s well-recognized Immigration Clinic where she worked on resolving inadmissibility issues for clients in removal proceedings and filed petitions on behalf of victims of crime. Upon admission to The Florida Bar, Ms. Aguiar worked for a boutique business immigration practice in Downtown Miami earning experience in employment-based immigrant petitions such as Extraordinary Ability Petitions and National Interest Waivers. Ms. Aguiar also has experience in nonimmigrant visa applications representing Individuals of Extraordinary Ability (O-1 visa), Treaty Investors (E-2 visa), and Multinational Managers and Executives as well as Intracompany Transferees (L-1 visa).
Ms. Aguiar is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
