U-Visas, S-Visas and T-Visas
U-Visas, S-Visas and T-Visas were created to provide protection to victims of certain crimes as well as people who serve as informants and/ or witnesses in certain criminal cases. These visas require certification from law enforcement authorities such as a prosecutor’s office or local police departments that the victim has cooperated, is cooperating, or whose cooperation is needed in an investigation or prosecution of a crime. A grant of one of these visas may result in Permanent Resident Status.
U-Visas, S-Visas and T-Visas are very technical in that obtaining success requires cooperation from the certifying agencies. Our firm has been able to obtain certifications from police departments, sheriff’s offices, state attorney’s offices, U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
If you are a victim of crime and you have assisted law enforcement authorities in investigating or prosecuting such, please have a consultation with us as soon as possible to determine your eligibility for U, S, or T visa.
